Senior Associate, Microsoft Collaboration Platforms<br><br><strong>Position Summary<br><br></strong>The Senior Associate, Microsoft Collaboration Platforms, is responsible for the operational support, governance, security coordination, and administration of SharePoint Online, SharePoint Subscription Edition, Microsoft Teams, and related Microsoft 365 services. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert and primary operational coordinator for platform support, audit readiness, access governance, external collaboration, and business-critical service availability.<br><br>The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure teams, security operations, internal audit, application development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the collaboration environment remains secure, compliant, and highly available.<br><br>________________________________________<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Platform Operations & Customer Support<br><br><ul><li> Provide Level 2 and Level 3 operational support for SharePoint Online and SharePoint Subscription Edition environments.</li><li> Respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure timely resolution of service requests.</li><li> Support Microsoft Teams integration and collaboration capabilities across the organization.</li><li> Participate in an on-call rotation to support non-business-hours incidents, service outages, and high-priority requests.<br><br></li></ul>Governance & Access Management<br><br><ul><li> Utilize AvePoint EnPower to perform role-based access control (RBAC) administration and governance activities.</li><li> Support governance initiatives related to site ownership, permissions management, external sharing, and lifecycle management.</li><li> Serve as an Entra ID subject matter expert for guest user management and external collaboration practices.</li><li> Manage and support operational processes for provisioning and maintaining external user access within SharePoint Subscription Edition and related collaboration platforms.</li><li> Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment<br><br></li></ul>Audit & Compliance Coordination<br><br><ul><li> Coordinate the gathering, validation, and delivery of evidence required for internal audits, external audits, and security reviews.</li><li> Partner with Security Operations Center (SOC), risk, compliance, and audit teams to satisfy periodic audit requests.</li><li> Maintain documentation supporting platform controls, access reviews, governance standards, and operational procedures.</li><li> Assist with remediation tracking and evidence collection for audit findings and compliance initiatives.<br><br></li></ul>Infrastructure & Vendor Coordination<br><br><ul><li> Coordinate technical troubleshooting and remediation activities with KPMG infrastructure and engineering teams.</li><li> Facilitate technical review sessions to address platform-level issues impacting service availability, security, or performance.</li><li> Track action items and ensure timely resolution of infrastructure-related concerns.<br><br></li></ul>Testing & Business Continuity<br><br><ul><li> Coordinate user acceptance and technical validation testing following monthly infrastructure patching activities.</li><li> Lead testing coordination for disaster recovery and failover exercises.</li><li> Support business continuity planning and operational readiness initiatives.<br><br></li></ul>Integration & Development Support<br><br><ul><li> Coordinate SharePoint integration requirements for custom application development projects.</li><li> Work with development teams to support application registration, Service Principal Name (SPN) requirements, authentication configuration, and API integrations.<br><br></li></ul>Automation & Continuous Improvement<br><br><ul><li> Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation and process improvement.</li><li> Contribute to platform modernization, governance enhancements, and service optimization initiatives.<br><br></li></ul>________________________________________<br><br><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Minimum three years of recent experience supporting Microsoft collaboration platforms.</li><li> Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, information systems, or related field preferred;
