VJ / Lighting Tech for Halloween Rave in Toronto (Oct 31, In Person)

I'm throwing a Halloween event in Toronto on Saturday, October 31st at Henderson Brewing Co. (250 to 300 guests, DJ-driven, dance-floor focused). Last year's edition sold out, and this year's venue is much bigger, so I want the visuals and lighting to match.

I'm looking for an experienced VJ / lighting tech to own the visual side of the night.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Plan the setup with me (most important): help me figure out exactly what lights, lasers, and effects to rent for the space and budget. I want your recommendations, not just someone to run what I pick.

- Visuals: run visuals through the venue projector for the night (Halloween / rave themed content).

- Lighting: operate lights and lasers during the event.

- Setup and teardown: help set up on the day of the event and break down after.

- Run point: be the go-to person for all things visual during the event (10 PM to 2 AM).

BUDGET

The budget shown is the base rate for planning, setup, running the night, and teardown (approx. $600 CAD).

BONUS (PAID EXTRA): If you can pick up and drop off the rented lights and lasers, I'll pay more on top of the base. Let me know if you have a vehicle that can handle the gear and what you'd charge for this.

REQUIREMENTS

- Based in or able to be in Toronto in person on Oct 31

- Experience VJing and running lighting at club nights, raves, or similar events

- Familiar with renting / spec'ing lighting and laser gear (bonus if you have rental house relationships)

- Your own laptop and VJ software (Resolume or similar)

TO APPLY, PLEASE INCLUDE

1. Links or videos of past events you've run visuals/lighting for

2. Your rate for the night (setup + event), and your additional rate for gear pickup/drop-off

3. Whether you own any gear you could bring

4. A quick note on what kind of setup you'd suggest for a 250 to 300 person warehouse-style party

Start your proposal with the word "Pumpkin" so I know you read the full post.
