About the Sales & Customer Service team

Cognizant is a large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies to transform a variety modern business operations. We are seeking an additional Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our team in Canada.

As a Sales & Customer Service Representative, you will make an impact by providing customer service support over the phone and helping customers make purchases. You will be a valued member of the Customer Service Team and work collaboratively with team members and managers on your team.

In this role, you will

  • Offer Sales & Sales Support interactions from Customers and Sales Associates (via phone, email, and teams chat) such as general inquiries, feedback, incidents, and order management.

  • Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.

  • Answer basic questions and resolve basic problems.

  • Document issues, identify, and take appropriate actions to resolve inquires including those related to, but not limited to, order entry, order modification, customer billing and payments, pricing, reporting, and customer facing applications.

  • Actively re-direct incoming callers to self-service options

  • Perform proactive outbound follow-up communications as necessary

  • Process orders and other related voice and non-voice tasks as needed to meet client needs

Required skills: what you need to be considered

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of Customer Service experience

  • A self-starter that demonstrates customer service skills.

  • Ability to select and apply standard policies and procedures.

  • Ability to resolve routine problems and questions independently.

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and use time effectively.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary, proper grammar, and the ability to independently compose routine written communications.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Previous call center experience

  • Previous experience in foodservice or foodservice distribution

We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants in Quebec where our hubs are located. We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position is $34,500 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
