Pharmacy Relations – Oncology

Job Description:

  • Shape the delivery of oncology treatments by hospital pharmacies across Ontario and Quebec
  • Develop and implement strategies tailored to provincial hospital pharmacies, aligned with the national marketing strategy
  • Build long-term relationships with pharmacy leaders and central pharmacy stakeholders
  • Identify emerging oncology pharmacy trends, operational issues, and policy changes
  • Co-develop solutions to improve infusion capacity, patient pathways, chemotherapy unit efficiency, and pharmacy workflows
  • Collaborate with pharmacy associations, cancer agencies, and healthcare organizations
  • Work with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Diagnostics, and Health Systems teams on a unified account management strategy
  • Maximize customer value and avoid duplication of effort
  • Serve as the pharmacy subject-matter expert for internal cross-functional teams
  • Gather insights into pharmacy priorities, operational barriers, treatment landscapes, competitive dynamics, and pricing constraints
  • Implement the strategic and tactical pharmacy plan
  • Integrate plans with brand strategies and market access planning cycles
  • Advise colleagues on execution and drive measurable outcomes for treatment centres and patients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (preferred), Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related healthcare field
  • Excellent understanding of the oncology care environment in Canada, with in-depth knowledge of the realities in Ontario and Quebec
  • 3–5 years of experience in the healthcare system, a hospital, or the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in oncology
  • Proven success leading complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate colleagues
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strategic-thinking ability
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and judgment skills
  • A valid driver’s licence is required; the successful candidate must be able to provide a valid driving record
  • Full bilingual proficiency in French and English is required
  • 2–3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in oncology and/or significant expertise gained in a cancer treatment centre (preferred)
  • Experience in training, marketing, and/or external affairs management (preferred)
