Job Summary

The Elite Job is looking for a detail-oriented and methodical Manual QA Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. This remote role is crucial in ensuring our software applications are bug-free, user-friendly, and function as intended. You will be responsible for executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality digital products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system specifications and requirements documentation.

  • Create, update, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans.

  • Identify, document, and track software bugs and issues using tools like Jira or similar.

  • Perform thorough regression and functional testing when bugs are resolved.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and product managers to understand project objectives and verify performance.

  • Provide feedback on usability and functionality of applications.

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a QA tester or in a similar quality assurance role.

  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to think like an end-user.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to perform backend data validation.

  • Familiarity with test management software (e.g., TestRail) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in manual software testing.

  • Experience testing web and mobile applications is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible remote working hours.

  • Availability during core collaboration hours (e.g., 10 AM – 4 PM GMT/UTC preferred).

  • Full-time position (40 hours/week).
