Senior Auditor - Data Analytics

Description:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain analytics routines supporting audits, continuous auditing, risk assessments, and reporting.
  • Partner with audit teams to identify analytics opportunities across planning, fieldwork, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Build relationships with data owners and stakeholders to improve data access, quality, and business-process understanding.
  • Develop scalable solutions that identify risks, control weaknesses, operational trends, anomalies, and outliers.
  • Create automated testing routines and continuous-auditing capabilities to expand coverage and improve efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and monitoring tools to communicate audit results and risk indicators.
  • Enhance Internal Audit’s data strategy, analytics methodology, automation framework, and reporting.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc reports supporting audit effectiveness, analytics initiatives, Board, and Audit Committee reporting.
  • Represent Internal Audit in cross-functional initiatives, technology implementations, and special projects.
  • Monitor emerging analytics, automation, and audit technologies and recommend adoption opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field, including audit, risk, or compliance support.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Alteryx, R, Excel, or similar analytics and programming tools.
  • Experience developing data-driven audit testing, automation, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization and business intelligence platforms.
  • Working knowledge of internal or external auditing standards, risk management frameworks, and control environments.
  • Understanding of analytics applications in financial services, audit, risk management, or compliance.
  • Ability to independently analyze large datasets, identify insights, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience applying analytics to audit planning, risk assessments, continuous auditing, and audit execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business (preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA, CRMA, CAMS, or analytics certifications; DBT, Git/GitHub, machine learning, predictive modeling, or AI-enabled audit experience (preferred).
