Employees hired for this position will be employed by Satguru Mobility (Canada) Ltd. and will work from authorized Europcar rental locations in Vancouver. Team members will receive training and operate in accordance with Europcar's global operational and customer service standards.

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative (Operations) is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the rental branch. This role combines customer service, rental administration, vehicle preparation, fleet coordination, sales, and general operational support.

The successful candidate will be flexible, dependable, and willing to assist in all aspects of branch operations.

Responsibilities :Customer Service

  • Welcome customers professionally and courteously.
  • Assist customers with reservations, rentals, exchanges, and vehicle returns.
  • Explain rental agreements, insurance options, fuel policies, and additional products.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in person, by telephone, and by email.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the rental process.

Sales

  • Promote vehicle upgrades and optional protection products.
  • Recommend additional services and accessories based on customer needs.
  • Support branch sales objectives and customer satisfaction goals.

Rental Administration

  • Prepare rental agreements and supporting documentation.
  • Process payments, deposits, refunds, and invoices.
  • Verify driver's licences and payment methods.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using company systems.
  • Complete daily administrative and reporting tasks.

Fleet Operations

  • Inspect vehicles before and after rentals.
  • Document vehicle condition accurately.
  • Coordinate vehicle availability and fleet movement.
  • Report vehicle damage and maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with vehicle deliveries and customer pick-ups when required.

Vehicle Preparation

Employees are expected to assist with:

  • Washing vehicle exteriors.
  • Vacuuming and cleaning interiors.
  • Sanitizing vehicles between rentals.
  • Refuelling or charging vehicles.
  • Parking and organizing company vehicles.
  • Preparing vehicles to company presentation standards.
  • Performing quality inspections before customer delivery.

Branch Operations

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized office and branch.
  • Follow company policies and operational procedures.
  • Support fellow team members during busy periods.
  • Represent Europcar professionally at all times.

QualificationsRequired

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record. (Must)
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, tourism, or the car rental industry.
  • Previous sales experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable driving cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans, and luxury vehicles.
  • Ability to clean and prepare vehicles for rental.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will be reviewed following the successful completion of the probationary period.

Additional Information

The duties and responsibilities listed above are not intended to be exhaustive. This includes assisting with vehicle cleaning, vehicle movement, branch maintenance, administrative support, and other operational duties necessary for the efficient operation of the business.

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
