Client Relationship Manager, Flexible Benefits

Job Description:

  • Lead management of an established client portfolio to ensure contractual obligations and service excellence
  • Manage daily tasks and projects to maintain and enhance client satisfaction
  • Oversee client renewals, servicing, potential terminations, plan documentation, system records, and checklists
  • Analyze coverage needs and pricing and provide renewal recommendations
  • Monitor IRS and Department of Labor regulations and industry trends and communicate updates
  • Ensure adherence to standardized procedures and processes
  • Review and audit staff work for timeliness, quality, compliance, and system efficiency
  • Conduct audits of record-keeping systems and third-party card vendor systems
  • Respond to client and teammate inquiries regarding administration, billing, and claims
  • Build and maintain client relationships and manage issues to support retention
  • Mentor and train teammates
  • Provide administrative support for special projects and new service development
  • Attend seminars, training, and carrier meetings
  • Support revenue and client retention objectives
  • Develop and deliver on-site and virtual training for clients and participants
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients and provide strategic guidance
  • Collaborate with internal partners, broker partners, and account managers
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert
  • Ensure flexible benefits plans comply with IRS, ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA requirements
  • Make strategic plan design recommendations based on client data and business priorities
  • Initiate and manage renewals and plan document updates

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Flexible Benefits
  • Client account management experience
  • Strong client relationship skills with excellent communication, service orientation, cooperation, and tact to resolve issues
  • Proven sales and upselling abilities within related industries
  • Demonstrated responsiveness, urgency, and professionalism
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
  • Ability to travel occasionally for benefit fairs, conferences and educational events
  • Must have Life, Health & Accident License or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment
  • Must complete continuing education requirements
  • Four-year degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to research and analyze problems independently
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
