PR Consultant for Podcast and Speaking Bookings. Award-Winning Author. US Freelancers Only.

Hi. I’m Todd Irwin, Founder and CEO of Fazer, a global brand strategy firm based in New York and London, and the author of De-Positioning: The Secret Brand Strategy for Creating Competitive Advantage. The book just won the Highly Commended award (Silver) for International Business Book of the Year 2026, second to McKinsey. And this month I was named Brand Strategist of the Year at the Transform Awards North America.

I’m looking for a PR consultant with one focus. Get me on more podcasts and more stages.

Two objectives:

1. Podcasts. Business, marketing, founder, and tech shows where a contrarian argument about brand strategy lands with the audience.

2. Conferences and panels. Keynotes, panels, fireside chats, and lunch-and-learns at industry events, universities, and corporate headquarters.

You own the strategy and the outreach. Research the targets, build the list, write the pitches, work the relationships, follow up, land the dates, and brief me before each one. I show up and deliver.

What I’m not hiring for: press releases, media relations, LinkedIn content, or website work. Those are handled.

The story you’d be pitching. Thirty years in brand strategy for brands like Coca-Cola, Verizon, and Walmart, and for startups backed by Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, and Google Ventures. A book that argues customers choose the brand that solves their biggest pain point most clearly, and that trying to be different is the wrong way to approach positioning. A small independent firm whose book placed second to McKinsey. An author who says it in plain language and has been doing it on stage for years.

What I want in your proposal:

Three to five shows or events you’d go after first, and why.

How you’d structure the engagement: retainer, hourly, or per booking. Propose the number. I’m not setting a budget. I want to see how you think about the work.

Requirements: US-based, New York preferred. Independent freelancer only. Not an agency, not a team, no handoff to somebody junior. The person who replies is the person who pitches and the person who I want to work with.

Pitch me the way you’d pitch a producer.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

All the best,

Todd
