<h3>About <strong>Young Bosses in Business Foundation (YBIB)</strong></h3><p>Young Bosses in Business is a youth-focused nonprofit that empowers young people through entrepreneurship education, hands-on programming, mentorship, and community-based initiatives. We support youth in building business skills, confidence, and real-world readiness through engaging workshops, programs, and partnerships. This placement offers meaningful nonprofit experience where your work directly supports youth programming and community impact.</p><h3>Placement Overview (Remote)</h3><p>We’re looking for a student who can help <strong>manage and maintain our website</strong> and assist with building our <strong>membership perks app</strong> for YBIB program participants and community members. This is a remote role with real ownership, portfolio-worthy deliverables, and the flexibility to recommend the best tools/platforms to get the job done.</p><h3>What You’ll Work On</h3><p><strong>1) Website Management & Maintenance (ongoing)</strong></p><ul><li>Update webpages (program info, events, forms, announcements)</li><li>Improve layout, mobile responsiveness, and user experience</li><li>Fix basic issues (broken links, formatting, site speed)</li><li>Support integrations (email signups, donation forms, applications, analytics)</li></ul><p><strong>2) Membership App Development (build + iterate)</strong></p><ul><li>Help define what the membership app includes (access rules, tiers, perks, content)</li><li>Recommend the best build approach (no-code tools like Lovable or alternatives, or another approach you believe fits best)</li><li>Build an MVP version (member login, perks/offers, announcements, resources, event access)</li><li>Test, gather feedback, and improve the app over time</li></ul><h3>Deliverables (what success looks like)</h3><ul><li>A simple website update workflow + checklist (so it’s easy to maintain)</li><li>An MVP membership app/prototype ready for testing with users</li><li>Basic documentation so future students can continue smoothly</li></ul><h3>Ideal Candidate</h3><ul><li>Web design/dev student (or related program) who’s comfortable learning fast</li><li>Strong communication and organization (remote-friendly)</li><li>Ability to recommend tools and explain decisions clearly</li></ul><h3>Bonus Skills (nice to have)</h3><ul><li>Experience with common web platforms (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, etc.)</li><li>UI/UX basics (Figma, wireframes)</li><li>Member login systems / Airtable or Firebase / Stripe (optional)</li><li>No-code app builders (Lovable, Bubble, Glide, Softr, Adalo)</li></ul><h3>Why This Placement is Valuable</h3><p>You’ll gain real nonprofit experience while building digital tools that support youth programming and community engagement.
