Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and accurate packaging.</p><p>Your responsibilities include inspecting finished products, verifying packaging integrity, and ensuring compliance with company standards—no damaged bags or boxes, secure wrapping, no pallet overhang, and accurate labeling. Your attention to detail will ensure shipments meet both company quality standards and customer expectations.</p><p></p><p><b>What a typical day looks like:</b></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance to Company’s policies, practices and procedures related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and the Environment</li><li>Maintain adequate supply of pallets for packaging lines, including cardboard and shrink wrap, and including the stocking and removal of totes</li><li>Receive packaged product ready for storage in the Warehouse from the packaging lines</li><li>Ensure adequate space is available for packaged product entering Warehouse storage</li><li>When receiving packaged product from the packaging lines, inspect to ensure the product has the highest quality level of presentation</li><li>Enter the correct information provided for product packaged from production runs into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system</li><li>loading finish product onto trailers and preparing paperwork for shipments through the computer/M3 system</li><li>Ensure that the pallet license plate accurately displays the production lot number, product description and size, and best before date</li><li>Work closely with Packaging, to ensure additional or non-regular products are brought to attention when needed</li><li>Assist in maintaining the Warehouse in a neat and orderly manner by performing established good housekeeping fundamentals, i.e., fixing broken bags, dumping garbage, restacking pallets, etc. and keeping immediate work space free of clutter</li><li>Assist fellow employees with their job duties when time permits</li><li>Manually unload and reload pallets to apply required label of the specific country of export.</li><li>Documentation and complete tracking of all products being labelled.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What are we looking for?</b></p><ul><li>Minimum three years’ work experience in a warehouse or production environment</li><li>Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system would be an asset</li><li>Demonstrated ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklift</li><li>Physical ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting, with working knowledge of safe lifting methods</li><li>Ability to work accurately under pressure</li><li>Strong basic mathematical skills, with ability to accurately weigh and measure items</li><li>Self-directed, with ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team</li><li>Good organizational abilities, time management, and prioritizing skills, with strong attention to detail in all areas of work</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing</li><li>Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol and Fit-to-Work test up to 35 lb</li><li>Ability to clear a Criminal Record Check and provide references</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Working Conditions</b></p><ul><li>Work environment is in a pet food distribution centre, with exposure to dust, noise, and fluctuating temperature</li><li>Must be able to physically inspect company equipment, property, and assets</li><li>Regularly required to work at heights; fall arrest training to be provided by the Company</li><li>Regular shift is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday</li><li>Overtime and Saturdays as required</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What can you expect from Champion?</b></p><ul><li><b>Safety:</b> a strong commitment to ensure all people are provided with a safe, healthy and respectful environment.</li><li><b>Earnings:</b> Competitive Wages that give financial peace of mind, RRSP with Company, and donation matching.</li><li><b>Industry Competitive Benefits:</b> Medical, Dental, Vision and Employee Assistance Programs to meet your individual or family needs.</li><li><b>Continuing Education:</b> In House & Online Learning & Development, as well as an Education Assistance Program.</li><li><b>Quality:</b> a dedication to uphold the highest standards of authenticity, nutritional integrity, and food safety, to earn the trust of Pet Lovers everywhere.</li><li><b>Other Perks:</b> Free Bag of Premium Pet Food each month, Free Parking and more!</li></ul><p></p><p>What are you waiting for?
