About the Role
Olympic Wholesale is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker / Material Handler to join our team in Ajax, ON. This role involves the efficient handling, movement, storage, shipping, and receiving of wholesale baking items. The successful candidate will use both manual labor and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to support daily warehouse operations. Maintaining a safe, organized, and accurate work environment is essential.Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment
- Receive, count, weigh, and label incoming materials and products
- Store materials appropriately and maintain warehouse organization
- Pick, pack, and fill warehouse orders for delivery or internal use
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Label boxes and products for clear identification and tracking
- Safely dispose of packing materials such as pallets, crates, and cardboard
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred)
- Basic understanding of inventory systems and labeling tools
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safe handling and disposal practices, including for hazardous materials
- Proficiency with warehouse software or inventory tracking tools
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
