About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors prepare and review examples that help computer vision systems recognize objects, people, and actions in images and video.
By labeling volleyball actions, you will help create structured training data for AI systems that analyze sports imagery. This is an accessible way to contribute to cutting-edge technology while working flexibly.
- Support the development of computer vision AI
- Work with image-based training data
- Choose a flexible workload within the project limit
The Role
As a Volleyball Action Labeling Specialist, you will identify and label actions shown during volleyball games. The project focuses on five action types: spike, block, serve, set, and receive.
Labels will be created as bounding boxes using CVAT, the designated labeling software. Examples will be provided as part of the project.
- Data type: Images
- Annotation method: Bounding boxes
- Software: CVAT
- Pay: $0.03 per label
- Experience level: Entry level
What You’ll Do
You will review volleyball game images and draw bounding boxes around the relevant action instances, assigning the appropriate action label. Careful, consistent annotation will help make the resulting dataset useful for AI training.
- Label spikes in volleyball game images
- Label blocks in volleyball game images
- Label serves in volleyball game images
- Label sets in volleyball game images
- Label receives in volleyball game images
- Use CVAT to create bounding-box annotations
Requirements
This is an entry-level project with no additional requirements listed. You should be prepared to work with image annotations in CVAT and identify the volleyball actions included in the project scope.
- Entry-level applicants are welcome
- Ability to label images using bounding boxes
- Ability to distinguish spikes, blocks, serves, sets, and receives
- No additional requirements specified
Who Should Apply
This project may suit people interested in sports imagery, computer vision, or flexible remote AI training work. No specific prior experience or specialized subject-matter credential is listed for the role.
- Sports and volleyball enthusiasts
- People seeking flexible part-time remote work
- Candidates interested in data labeling and computer vision
- Contributors able to work fewer than 20 hours per week
How It Works
OpenTrain AI contracts contributors for AI training and data-labeling projects. After creating a free account and applying, eligible contributors can complete image-labeling work remotely using CVAT, with compensation calculated per completed label.
- Create a free OpenTrain account
- Apply for the volleyball action labeling project
- Complete bounding-box annotations in CVAT
- Earn $0.03 for each label
- Work remotely for less than 20 hours per week
