Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor a team of transportation coordinators and drivers. Develop and implement comprehensive transportation strategies to meet business objectives. Oversee daily operations, ensuring on-time performance and adherence to schedules. Manage carrier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance metrics. Ensure strict compliance with all federal, provincial, and local transportation regulations. Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement. Implement and refine safety protocols and procedures for all transportation activities. Manage budgets for transportation operations and control operational expenditures. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of transportation services. Serve as the primary point of contact for major transportation partners and stakeholders. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation operations management or a similar leadership role. Proven experience in managing fleets, optimizing logistics, and carrier negotiations. Strong understanding of transportation laws, safety regulations, and supply chain best practices. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and data analysis tools. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities in Saskatoon . Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
