About this Role

Job Overview:

The Aspen Utility Company, LLC is hiring a Traffic Control Supervisor/Plan Drafter for our Denver Metro area.

Qualified applicants must hold a current CCA or ATSSA TCS Certification and have at least two years of hands-on traffic-control field experience. Previous drafting experience is preferred but not required. RapidPlan training may be provided to candidates with strong field knowledge and computer skills.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise accurate traffic-control plans using current traffic-control drafting software; prepare typical, site-specific, aerial, trenching, and other traffic-control setups
  • Review construction plans, maps, aerial imagery, work orders, and customer instructions
  • Ensure plans comply with MUTCD, CDOT, and local jurisdiction standards
  • Complete requested revisions and maintain organized project files
  • Manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines
  • Communicate with the Engineering Manager and other team members

What You'll Bring

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Current Traffic Control Supervisor CCA or ATSSA TCS Certification
  • At least two years of hands-on traffic-control field experience
  • Knowledge of traffic-control setups, signs, devices, and work-zone safety
  • Familiarity with MUTCD, CDOT, and Denver Metro jurisdiction standards
  • Experience reading construction plans, maps, aerial imagery, or work orders
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines
  • Traffic-control plan drafting experience
  • Experience using traffic-control drafting software
  • Experience with utility, construction, aerial, or trenching projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for building relationships with team members inside and outside the organization
