Student Coordinator
Please note
- This is a work-from-home position, but our head office is Toronto-based
- We are seeking staff in Eastern Ontario (ideally Ottawa area, Brockville, Kingston or Belleville) to service students we have in these key areas.
- The role is remote work-from-home but requires school visits (1 per month on average) and in-person support for rare student emergencies
- Outside of stat holidays, scheduled vacation and office shut downs, the role requires the applicant to be in Canada to best support our clients.

The Student
Coordinator acts as an advocate for students under ISGC’s care and plays a critical role in ensuring the success, growth, and well-being of our students.Responsibilities:
Student support
- Coordinate and communicate with students, schools, bus companies, overseas agents, host families and natural parents in a fastidious and polite manner
- Coordinate bi-weekly communication with parents and students
- Relentlessly solve student issues in a prompt and caring manner
- 24hr student emergency line responsibilities (bi-weekly rotation amongst staff)
- Student monitoring, chaperoning, and emergency assistance
- Assistance with Parent-Teacher interviews, school events as needed
- Student enrolment, school visits, registration, graduation
- Attendance at Consular appointments, co-validation of transcripts
- Accompanying students to medical appointments as required
- Arranging transportation and airport "meet & greet" services
- Arranging homestay services for students as required
- Language support for smooth communication between schools and parents
- Occasional evening and long weekend hours
- Assist in maintaining and updating ISGC student, school and host family database
- Arranging both short term and full-time homestay, transportation and other ISGC programs
- Recruiting host families and collecting documents required
- Providing support to team members and management
- Assistance with team projects and developing new programs
- Act as a minor's support while they are studying in Canada, along with ISGC's professional team
Academic/Educational
- University/College Degree
- Valid Passport
- Valid Driver's License & comfort driving, including on highways
- Police and Vulnerable Sector Check following a formal employment offer
- Attention to detail and organization
- Computer/Internet Savvy
- Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Google Tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Chat, Gmail, Meet, Calendar)

- Advanced level of English
