<p>Staffing Recruiter & Business Development Coordinator</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Type:</strong> Full-Time Contract with Potential for Permanent Employment</p><p>We are seeking a motivated, organized and flexible individual to join our fast-paced temporary staffing team. This role combines recruitment, customer service and business development. The successful candidate will manage multiple priorities, respond promptly to client needs and take initiative to ensure staffing orders are filled successfully.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Recruit, interview, screen and reference-check candidates for temporary assignments.</li><li>Source candidates through job boards, internal databases, referrals and other recruitment channels.</li><li>Match qualified candidates with client requirements, shifts and workplace environments.</li><li>Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and staffing requests.</li><li>Maintain regular communication with clients regarding orders, attendance, replacements and staffing updates.</li><li>Complete candidate reference checks and use these conversations professionally to identify potential business leads and staffing opportunities.</li><li>Support business development by contacting prospective clients, following up on leads and identifying new opportunities.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, employees, clients and prospective customers.</li><li>Confirm employee availability, assignment details and attendance.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed information in the applicant tracking system.</li><li>Manage changing priorities and urgent staffing requirements in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Work closely with recruiters, account managers and administrative staff to ensure client orders are filled.</li><li>Assist with additional recruitment, customer service and business development duties as required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Previous staffing, recruitment, customer service, sales or business development experience is preferred.</li><li>Strong telephone, communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Able to multitask and manage competing priorities.</li><li>Takes initiative and follows through on responsibilities.</li><li>Comfortable making outbound calls to candidates, references, clients and prospective customers.</li><li>Able to identify potential sales opportunities during regular recruitment activities.</li><li>Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.</li><li>Flexible with working hours based on business and client needs.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience using an applicant tracking system is an asset.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>The Ideal Candidate</p><p>The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable and comfortable balancing recruitment with customer service and business development. They understand that temporary staffing requires urgency, flexibility and teamwork.
