Job Details: Location: Red Deer - 115 Queens Drive, Red Deer AB

Working Hours: Part Time 20 hours per week

Monday to Friday 05:45-09:45

Wage: $23.40 per hour The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out

Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer

Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles

Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items

Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

Requirements

  • Proper scan and load techniques
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time sensitive environment
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Attention to process, quality and/or operational standards
  • Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
  • Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required

Experience

Specialized education is not required. No experience necessary.
Skills
Distribution Centers Language Requirement:Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
