As we continue to scale, we’re hiring our first QA Engineer to work closely with our QA Manager and development team to ensure quality across all Shopify Plus implementation projects. The Role As a QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for testing and validating Shopify Plus projects integration - from backend functionality and app integrations to UX/UI execution and customer-facing experiences. You’ll create and run test cases, report issues, and help refine QA processes to ensure every page and feature is visually accurate, functionally smooth, and works consistently across devices and browsers. This is a remote role where you’ll collaborate closely with developers, designers, project managers, and the QA Manager. You’ll play a key role in catching bugs, preventing regressions, and identifying usability issues before launch. Key Responsibilities Execute testing across front-end and back-end builds, including UX/UI visual testing Validate theme responsiveness, design accuracy, and customer journeys across devices Create and run test cases covering functional, regression, and user experience Perform manual testing (with potential to support automation in the future) Perform thorough testing on mobile applications across iOS and Android, ensuring consistent functionality, performance, and UI/UX accuracy Identify and log bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues using Jira (and other test management tools) Work with developers and designers to ensure clean, accurate execution of Figma designs and requirements Participate in sprint planning and client reviews to ensure a smooth release process Support UAT cycles and assist with regression testing before launches Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation What We’re Looking For 2+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years focused on Shopify Strong understanding of Shopify architecture (Liquid, apps, checkout, APIs) Familiarity with cross-browser/device testing and accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) Hands-on experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android (native or web-based) Strong attention to details and ability to validate UX/UI against design specs (Figma) Client-facing experience - able to confidently communicate QA findings and assist client with bug reviews Experience with Jira and test management tools Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills Bonus: Exposure to test automation, performance audits, or A/B testing tools Why Join Sultans?
