Shipping and Receiving Clerk
About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of goods in and out of their facility in Victoria . You will be responsible for accurately documenting, tracking, and preparing shipments, as well as receiving and verifying incoming goods. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that all shipments meet required standards and deadlines, contributing to the smooth operation of the company's logistics function. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are paramount.
Key Responsibilities Process all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Verify contents of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation. Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues. Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed. Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area. Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment status. Requirements Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred. Proficiency in using computers for data entry and record-keeping. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to lift and move moderately heavy items. Good organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with shipping software or carrier portals is an asset. Benefits Competitive hourly wage of 20 CAD.
