Senior Project Manager, Government Solutions

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager, Government Solutions based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex technology transformation initiatives that support smarter, more efficient government services.

You will manage enterprise software implementations that help modernize urban planning, housing delivery, and public-sector decision-making.

Working at the intersection of AI, SaaS, and digital transformation, you will drive impactful projects from planning through successful deployment.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Project Manager will lead the successful delivery of enterprise technology projects for government customers, ensuring projects meet business objectives, timelines, and quality expectations. This role requires ownership of project governance, customer relationships, and cross-functional execution in complex transformation environments.

Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise software implementation projects from initial planning through deployment and post-launch support.

Own project scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery outcomes.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, implementation roadmaps, and delivery documentation.

Act as the primary point of contact for government customers and strategic stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.

Facilitate governance meetings, progress updates, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications.

Build strong relationships with technical, operational, and leadership stakeholders across customer organizations.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and technical teams to align delivery plans with customer needs.

Support customer adoption through change management activities, training coordination, process improvements, and readiness initiatives.

Monitor project performance, identify risks and blockers, and implement mitigation strategies.

Improve delivery frameworks, project methodologies, and operational processes through continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage multiple concurrent projects across distributed teams and different regions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced project delivery professional with a strong background in enterprise technology implementations, stakeholder management, and digital transformation. The successful candidate combines strategic thinking with strong execution skills and the ability to operate effectively in complex customer environments.

8+ years of experience in project management, implementation management, or program delivery within technology-focused environments.

Proven experience managing enterprise SaaS implementations, software deployments, or digital transformation projects.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, teams, and priorities.

Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and technical teams.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, risks, and competing priorities.

Ability to manage multiple projects across distributed teams and time zones.

Experience working with government organizations, public sector clients, or regulated industries is highly preferred.

Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives, GovTech, PropTech, smart cities, urban planning, or infrastructure solutions is an advantage.

Knowledge of public sector privacy frameworks such as MFIPPA, FIPPA, FOIP, or similar regulations is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management qualifications are highly valued.
