Senior Petroleum Engineer
About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their operations based in Vancouver, British Columbia . This role focuses on optimizing the production and development of oil and gas assets. You will be responsible for designing and executing well drilling and completion programs, analyzing production data, and implementing strategies to enhance hydrocarbon recovery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the dynamic oil and gas sector .
Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and supervise the execution of drilling and completion programs for new wells. Monitor well performance, analyze production data, and identify opportunities for optimization and intervention. Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems and enhanced oil recovery (EOR). Conduct technical evaluations and economic assessments for development projects and potential acquisitions. Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field staff. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in petroleum engineering, production, or drilling. Proficiency with well performance analysis software and production databases. Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles and wellbore hydraulics. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
