Senior analyst - Pension plan and RCA - National Bank

A career as a Senior Analyst within the Financial Statements team - Pension Plans and Retirement Compensation Arrangements at National Bank means acting as a key contributor in delivering a superior client experience by supporting associates and partners with respect to reporting, systems, and processes.

Through your knowledge of financial reporting, your experience in pension plans and retirement compensation arrangements, and your desire to make a difference through rigor and collaboration, you will have a positive impact in a complex line of business by helping identify business issues and responding to the needs of various stakeholders.

The Institutional segment is responsible for the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for the various plans administered by National Bank Trust.

Your role

  • Gather, compile, and verify the accuracy of data required for the preparation of financial statements.
  • Perform various recurring accounting and tax-related activities in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports according to client-required frequencies.
  • Prepare tax returns (T3-RCA, T3P, T3).
  • Process notices of assessment and government correspondence throughout the year.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external partners (clients, actuaries, National Bank Trust associates).

Your team

Within the Fund Accounting sector, as part of the Financial Statements team, you will join a team of 16 colleagues. Surrounded by experts in finance, accounting, and taxation, we analyze and interpret data to make the best decisions for our clients and partners. You will report to the Senior manager, Financial Statements.

Prerequisite

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience, or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • Knowledge of pension plans and retirement compensation arrangements
  • Experience in preparing tax returns and financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills with strong time and priority management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
