About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and certified Senior Air Traffic Controller to manage the complex airspace in the vicinity of Oakville, Ontario . This vital role ensures the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic, maintaining separation between aircraft and preventing collisions. You will be responsible for providing instructions to pilots, monitoring radar displays, and coordinating with adjacent control facilities. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior controllers and contribute to the development of operational procedures. This is a demanding but rewarding career for individuals with exceptional decision-making skills and a commitment to aviation safety.

Key Responsibilities Control and manage air traffic within assigned airspace sectors using radar and non-radar procedures. Provide clear, concise, and timely instructions to pilots regarding headings, altitudes, and speeds. Monitor radar displays and flight progress strips to ensure aircraft separation standards are maintained. Coordinate traffic flow with other air traffic control units and adjacent control centers. Respond effectively to emergencies and unusual situations, implementing appropriate procedures. Mentor and train junior air traffic controllers, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Requirements Valid Air Traffic Controller license issued by Transport Canada. Minimum of 7 years of experience as an active Air Traffic Controller in a busy terminal or en route environment. Proven ability to make critical decisions under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of air traffic control procedures , regulations, and aviation meteorology. Must pass rigorous medical and background checks.
