Job Summary

Linen Chest - Montreal is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Sales Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, accurately process transactions, assist with product inquiries, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide courteous, professional assistance
  • Process cash, credit card, debit card, and mobile payment transactions accurately
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently
  • Assist customers with product selection, pricing, promotions, and general inquiries
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and transaction records
  • Restock merchandise and maintain attractive product displays
  • Keep the checkout area and sales floor clean and organized
  • Support inventory counts and merchandising activities
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals
Qualifications
  • Previous cashier, retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer applications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
