Role Overview We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer‑centric individuals to join our remote support team as Customer Support Specialists . In this role, you’ll become a brighthush Product Expert , helping users troubleshoot common issues, answer product questions, and guide them through the tax filing process. No prior experience in accounting or customer support is required – we’ll provide all the training you need. As a remote team member, you’ll enjoy the freedom to set your own schedule between 8 AM EST and 12 AM midnight EST, Monday through Sunday. Whether you’re a night owl or an early‑bird, you can work the hours that fit your lifestyle while earning competitive pay and performance bonuses. Key Responsibilities Provide timely, accurate, and empathetic assistance to brighthush customers via phone, chat, and email. Diagnose and resolve common technical issues related to downloading, logging in, navigating the interface, importing documents, printing, and filing. Answer basic tax questions and guide users through the tax filing workflow. Document all interactions in our CRM system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Marketplace Performance Specialists (MPS) to resolve complex customer inquiries. Participate in ongoing training sessions to maintain certification as a brighthush Product Expert. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing customer feedback and suggesting product enhancements. Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction scores. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework is a plus but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Basic computer literacy and comfort with using multiple software applications simultaneously. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment. Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a quiet workspace. Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, with flexibility to increase hours as needed. Willingness to participate in a 3‑day certification program to become a brighthush Product Expert. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a customer support or call‑center role. Basic understanding of tax concepts or prior exposure to tax software. Experience with CRM systems or help‑desk platforms. Knowledge of the U.S. tax filing process and related regulations. Previous remote work experience and familiarity with virtual collaboration tools. Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package that rewards performance, dedication, and expertise Base Pay $18.50 per hour, including a $3.00 network fee component. Hourly Rate Up to $24.00 per hour for those working 45+ hours per week. Certification Bonus $405 for completing the brighthush Product Expert certification. brighthush Bonus Boost $5.00 per hour for all hours worked during the promotional period (April 9–15). Weekly Performance Bonuses Up to $250 per week based on hours worked and customer satisfaction metrics. TNPS Performance Bonus $50 gift card for achieving 4 or more TNPS promoters in a single day and zero detractors. Flexible Hours Work between 8 AM EST and 12 AM midnight EST, Monday through Sunday.
