Summary of Position The QA Automation Engineer helps elevate the quality, reliability, and scalability of the organization’s software platforms. In this role, the QA Automation Engineer plays a key part in shaping modern QA practices, building robust automation frameworks, and embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle. The QA Automation Engineer works closely with backend, frontend, platform, and product teams to ensure systems meet high standards for correctness, performance, and safety within a regulated healthcare environment.

This is a hands-on role positioned at the intersection of testing, automation, process improvement, and engineering collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes across the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering APIs, integrations, regression, performance, and end‑to‑end workflows
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for Salesforce‑based workflows, Apex‑driven logic, and integration layers connecting internal and external systems
  • Validate data flows across Salesforce, middleware, and downstream platforms, ensuring integrity, consistency, and correctness
  • Champion a shift‑left testing approach by embedding QA early in the development lifecycle, enabling faster feedback and stronger collaboration across teams
  • Integrate QA workflows into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and support fast, reliable delivery
  • Lead QA efforts for complex data migrations, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across systems
  • Leverage AI‑assisted tools and techniques to expand test coverage, accelerate execution, and improve defect detection and root‑cause analysis
  • Drive defect triage and resolution processes, ensuring timely identification, prioritization, and closure of issues
  • Establish, track, and report on key quality metrics to monitor application health and testing effectiveness
  • Mentor team members and promote best practices in test automation, test design, and quality engineering
  • Evaluate and introduce QA tools, frameworks, and methodologies that improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability

Qualifications Expected for Position

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation, API, and integration testing
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent experience that demonstrates the same depth.
  • Hands on experience testing Salesforce based systems, including custom workflows, integrations, and data driven logic
  • Strong experience designing automated tests for APIs, services, and integration layers
  • Experience validating complex data flows and transformations across interconnected systems
  • Proven experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong analytical skills for defect investigation, data validation, and root cause analysis
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering and product teams
Strongly Preferred:
  • Experience validating large scale data migration and data reconciliation initiatives
  • Familiarity with cloud native architecture, distributed systems, and microservice-based environments
  • Comfort using AI assisted tools to support test design, test data generation, and failure analysis
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in regulated, compliance‑driven, or healthcare environments
  • Exposure to performance, reliability, or security testing in Salesforce-centric systems
  • Familiarity with modern test automation frameworks and tools
Salary Range $130,000 to $160,000/year
