Role Description The NATO Climate Change and Security Centre of Excellence (CCASCOE) is seeking a full-time Procurement Officer (AS-04) for an 18-month assignment/secondment. This on-site role, based in Montreal, QC, will involve executing procurement and purchasing processes in line with organizational policies and requirements.
The Procurement
Officer will manage purchase orders, negotiate contracts, analyze procurement data, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cost-effective and efficient procurement practices. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining records, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Procurement and Purchasing processes
- Proficiency in managing Purchase Orders and executing Contract Negotiations effectively
- Well-developed Analytical Skills with an ability to assess supplier performance and market trends
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of procurement policies, compliance regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency in procurement or resource management software is an asset
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with climate-related security operations or international organizations is an advantage
