Pro-Life Christian Audiobook Narrator for Psychological Thriller Novel

I’m looking for an experienced audiobook narrator to narrate my completed psychological thriller of approximately 67,000 words.

The book is contemporary and character driven, with Christian themes and a clear pro-life / abolitionist moral arc. The manuscript is currently in the final stages of editing and should be professionally finalized within the next couple of weeks.

I’m looking for a single narrator who can bring the story and characters to life while preserving the tone, emotion, suspense, and meaning of the existing manuscript.

The manuscript should be narrated as written. Any proposed changes to wording should be discussed with me first.

What I need

- Full narration of the approximately 67,000-word novel

- A single narrator with the vocal range to convincingly portray both male and female characters, particularly a woman in her mid-20s and a man in his late 20s to early 30s, including natural, believable back-and-forth dialogue between them

- Engaging, natural narration appropriate for a psychological thriller

- Distinct but believable character voices that do not feel exaggerated or distracting

- Strong delivery of emotional, suspenseful, dramatic, and dialogue-heavy scenes

- Clear, natural U.S. English pronunciation and pacing

- Review and preparation of the full manuscript before recording, including character voices and any necessary pronunciation research

- A short narration checkpoint before full production so we can confirm the major character voices, pacing, pronunciation, and overall performance

- Professional-quality recording with clean, consistent audio

- Professional proofing of the recorded audiobook for missed or incorrect words, unwanted noise, and other narration or production errors

- Editing and mastering of the finished audio so it is ready for audiobook distribution

- Corrections or pickups for narration mistakes, missed words, pronunciation issues, or other recording errors

I will also provide character notes for the major and minor characters, including relevant information about their personalities, backgrounds, pronunciations, and any important voice or performance details.

Faith and value alignment preferences

For this project I am very interested in a narrator who:

- Personally identifies as a Christian

- Personally holds a pro-life / abolitionist view on abortion

- Is enthusiastic about narrating a story that clearly reflects a pro-life / abolitionist moral arc

Professional audiobook narration experience, excellent spoken U.S. English, and high-quality recording equipment are essential. Experience narrating psychological thrillers, suspense, or Christian fiction would be especially helpful.

Deliverables

- Professionally narrated audiobook of the complete manuscript

- Individual audio files organized by chapter

- Professionally proofed, edited, and mastered audio

- Opening and closing credits as required

- Corrections and pickups for narration or production errors identified during review

- Final audio files prepared to meet the requirements of the agreed audiobook distribution platforms

- High-quality uncompressed master files in addition to the final distribution-ready files

Human narration and confidentiality

All narration and audio production for this project must be completed by humans. No AI-generated, cloned, or synthetic voices may be used.

Do not upload, paste, or otherwise provide the manuscript, excerpts, audio, or plot details to generative AI tools or services.

This includes AI voice generation, voice cloning, synthetic narration, or AI features built into recording, editing, proofreading, or audiobook-production software that would allow AI to access or process the manuscript or recordings. Any such features must be disabled, even if the service promises confidentiality or does not use submissions for training.

Rights and confidentiality

The selected narrator will sign:

- An NDA before receiving the manuscript, excerpts, or specific plot details

- An audiobook production agreement confirming that I retain ownership of the manuscript and have the necessary rights to publish, distribute, market, and sell the completed audiobook and audio files upon full payment

The manuscript and underlying story remain my intellectual property.

To apply

Please briefly share:

- Your relevant audiobook narration experience

- Links or samples of previous narration work, especially fiction

- Any experience narrating psychological thrillers, suspense, or Christian fiction

- Your recording setup and production process

- Whether professional proofing, editing, and mastering are included in your quote

- Your estimated turnaround time

- An estimated fixed-price quote covering the complete project

Selected applicants may be asked to sign an NDA and record a short custom audition using an excerpt from the manuscript so I can hear how you approach the main characters, dialogue, and overall tone of the story.

I look forward to hearing from you and finding the right narrator to help bring this story to life.
