Portfolio Architect – Sustainment

Job Description:

  • Serve as a portfolio architect responsible for mapping existing digital and business processes, identifying required changes, developing technology roadmaps, and playing a key role in supporting our transformation.
  • Own one or more business technology portfolios within the Sustainment portfolio (e.g., Aftermarket, MRO), including associated strategies, roadmaps, solutions, and applications.
  • Act as a senior member of the architecture community by developing clear technical architectures at the portfolio level, standards, and strategic technology roadmaps for assigned portfolios within P&W, while ensuring end-to-end visibility between digital technology and business processes and enhancing the value and visibility of P&W’s architecture approach.
  • Develop and deliver robust architecture guidance for major initiatives and work closely with P&W stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Provide strong leadership and overall technical direction to technology and business teams, communicating guidance based on enterprise standards.
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise on platforms (e.g., SLM, SEM), the applications and business processes associated with the assigned portfolios.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science, with more than 12 years of IT experience including over 7 years as a portfolio architect on large-scale technology portfolios; OR an advanced degree in a related field, with more than 10 years of IT experience including over 7 years as a portfolio architect.
  • Experience establishing architecture processes and practices at a global scale, including governance of roadmaps and application standards.
  • Experience with modern architecture frameworks and approaches that support integration of digital technologies and delivery via DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Ability to provide strategic technical leadership and influence the definition of short- and long-term strategies and roadmaps in a virtual environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and structured business communications and to present recommendations.
