Part-Time Sales Associate/Cashier

Dickson Home Hardware is a community-focused hardware store in Toronto that takes pride in friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and a welcoming in-store experience. We are looking for a dependable and customer-oriented Part-Time Sales Associate & Cashier to join our team.

Applicants must be available to work consistently on evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assist them in finding products throughout the store
  • Help customers with product selection and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
  • Answer basic product questions and help customers find the right solutions for their projects
  • Stock shelves, receive shipments, replenish merchandise, and help maintain organized product displays
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
  • Provide friendly and efficient service at checkout
  • Assist with returns, exchanges, and other basic customer service needs
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented sales floor and checkout areas
  • Work with other team members to support day-to-day store operations and provide a positive customer experience

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Comfortable approaching customers and helping them find products and solutions
  • Willingness to learn about hardware, home improvement products, and their applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions
  • Comfortable working on your feet and moving around the store for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Previous retail, sales, hardware, or cashier experience is an asset, but not required
  • Must be available evenings and weekends
