Part-Time Remote Executive & Personal Assistant

I’m looking for a highly capable, resourceful person to provide flexible remote support across both personal and business matters. This is not a traditional full-time assistant role, and I’m not looking for someone who simply waits for a list of tasks to complete. The right person is an excellent problem solver who enjoys taking something from “this needs to get handled” to actually handled researching options, making calls, following up, organizing the details, and knowing when a decision needs to come back to me. The role will initially be small and flexible, with the potential to grow over time if it’s a great fit. Most of the work will likely be personal, with some business and project-related support as needed. What you might help with The work will vary considerably from week to week and may include -Researching and vetting service providers, vendors, products, or other options -Scheduling appointments and coordinating logistics -Making calls, obtaining quotes, confirming details, and following up -Helping coordinate household and property-related projects -Organizing information and presenting a concise comparison or recommendation -Handling occasional travel, reservations, and personal logistics -Assisting with business research, administrative tasks, vendor communication, and project coordination -Identifying next steps and helping keep projects moving without requiring constant direction Who I’m looking for You are exceptionally organized, but more importantly, you have good judgment and high initiative. If you call a vendor and they don’t answer, you don’t simply report that they didn’t answer - you find another way to reach them, follow up, and keep the task moving. You’re comfortable being given an outcome rather than a detailed set of instructions. You can research an unfamiliar subject, quickly understand what’s relevant, and come back with a thoughtful recommendation rather than a long list of links. You’re also discreet with personal and business information. Previous experience as an executive assistant, personal assistant, operations manager, chief-of-staff-type support, or supporting an entrepreneur/founder would be especially relevant. Structure This is a remote, part-time contract role. I’d like to begin with a small number of projects/hours so we can both determine whether the working relationship is a good fit. If it works well, the role could develop into ongoing flexible support across my personal life and business activities. The workload will not necessarily be the same every week, so flexibility is important. I care much more about responsiveness, judgment, follow-through, and results than about someone sitting at a computer during prescribed hours. To apply Rather than sending a lengthy cover letter, please briefly tell me about your relevant experience and answer the following 1. Imagine I tell you “I need to find a great physical therapist, but I don’t have time to deal with it.” What information would you need from me, and how would you approach the task? 2. What types of tasks do you particularly enjoy taking off someone else’s plate? 3. Anything else you think would be relevant regarding your work history or ideal work environment. Please also include your location/time zone, general availability, and hourly rate or preferred compensation structure.
