Avoid hardcoding or committing sensitive data to version control.</li><li>Follow secure API design principles when building or consuming RESTful services, including rate limiting, proper HTTP status usage, and auth flows.</li><li>Conduct dependency and package audits using tools like pip-audit, safety, or bandit to prevent vulnerabilities from creeping in through third-party libraries.</li><li>Participate in code reviews with a security lens. Raising concerns about insecure patterns, improper access control, or overlooked edge cases.</li><li>Maintain good hygiene in experimentation and R& D codebases, including cleanup of temp access, environment variables, and sandbox credentials.</li><li>Support incident triage by writing logs and exception handling that aid debugging without leaking sensitive information.</li><li>Stay updated on secure software development practices and apply findings from R& D work responsibly (especially if exploring AI/ML, data pipelines, or integrations).<br><br></li></ul><strong>Bonus Points For<br><br></strong>The core requirements for the job include the following:<br><br><ul><li>Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), by (ISC).</li><li>Secure Coding Certificate - Python (from OpenEDG or GIAC).<br><br></li></ul><strong>Technical Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Have intermediate/advanced knowledge of Python.</li><li>Hands-on experience with OOP in Python. Flask/Django framework, ORM with MySQL, and MongoDB are a plus.</li><li>Must have experience writing shell scripts and configuration files. Should be proficient in Bash.</li><li>Should have excellent Linux administration capabilities.</li><li>Working experience of SCM.
