Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Movement Therapist to join their team. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified international candidates, including candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

  • Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
  • Special Commitments: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Languages: English
  • Experience: Experience is an asset; experience with special needs children is required

Responsibilities

  • Interview clients, prepare case histories and assess problems
  • Supervise other counsellors, social service staff and assistants
  • Prepare and implement treatment plans for each patient
  • Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs
  • Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in fundraising activities

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced environment with a large workload
  • Work requires physical demands such as bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Strong attention to detail required
