Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role involves handling patient scheduling and billing, managing administrative concerns, and maintaining accurate medical records within a medical office.

Experience with electronic medical records systems such as OSCAR is preferred, but not necessary.

The Medical

Assistant/Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering a positive patient experience. Training will be provided.

Duties

  • Registering patients, processing referrals, and scheduling/confirming appointments
  • Managing all incoming telephone and email inquiries, mail, faxes, and shipments
  • Providing ongoing office support to the physician
  • Preparing, managing, and filing patient e-charts
  • Assisting with OHIP billing in OSCAR (Training will be provided)
  • Ordering office/medical supplies and preparing testing kits
  • Assist in research, such as data organization
Qualifications:
  • Attention-to-detail
  • Knowledge of science and/or functional medicine is an asset. Passion for learning medicine and dealing with complex cases in an integrative office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Must be technically proficient and be able to type 60 words per minute
  • Experience with data entry is an asset
  • Multi-lingual is an asset
Start Date: August 2026 Location: Vaughan, Ontario (Jane/Rutherford)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vaughan, ON
