The role works closely with Business Unit Compliance Officers (BUCO) and their teams, Enterprise Compliance, Operational Risk, and business stakeholders. The incumbent will primarily conduct compliance tests to evaluate key controls against regulations and give informed recommendations for any issues found.<br><br><strong>What will you do?<br><br></strong><ul><li>Design and execute effective test procedures by reviewing and assessing regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, key control processes and documenting work papers.</li><li>Communicate with stakeholders throughout the review process, including obtaining information necessary to complete the testing, and escalate engagements as required to management.</li><li>Identify compliance issues and develop recommendations to inform business action plans.</li><li>Write clear and concise compliance testing reports that document the risk, scope, findings and recommendations.</li><li>Support the Team Lead in the development of Annual Compliance Test Plans and schedules for each of the Canadian Business Units based on regulatory risk and in collaboration with key stakeholders.</li><li>Review Compliance Testing program outcomes for trends and opportunities for improvement of the program’s effectiveness, including through development and utilization of AI support tools</li><li>Maintain effective working relationships with compliance representatives and line management.</li><li>Contribute to several Compliance projects at any one time with different stakeholders.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What do you need to succeed?<br><br></strong><ul><li>A minimum of 3-7 years of progressive Compliance Testing or Internal Audit experience that includes working knowledge of audit procedures, planning, testing and sampling methods within a Federally Regulated Financial Institution (i.e. OSFI regulated) or large auditing firm</li><li>Excellent knowledge of Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) programs, risks, controls and testing methodology.</li><li>Ability to understand and interpret legislation and regulations into business impacts, compliance elements and regulatory risks</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory requirements and securities laws applicable to financial institutions</li><li>Knowledge of and experience with developing AI Agents, using GenAI tools, and identifying and deploying innovative solutions to drive efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting Finance, or related field.</li><li>An ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise findings.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Skills:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Expertise in the Asset Management, Group Benefits, and Group Retirement Services area</li><li>Experience using a GRC platform (e.g. Archer or similar is preferred)</li><li>Bilingualism (English and French)<br><br></li></ul><strong>What's in it for you?<br><br></strong><ul><li>Hybrid work environment</li><li>A friendly, collaborative, and inclusive culture</li><li>20 vacation days per year</li><li>Flexible Benefits from the day you join to meet the needs of you and your family</li><li>Pension, stock and savings programs to help build and enhance your future financial security</li><li>The opportunity to move along a variety of career paths with amazing networking potential</li><li>Access to our Global Learning Centre, available 24/7 for your learning needs</li><li>Wellness programs that support the three pillars of your health – mental, physical and financial<br><br></li></ul><strong>Recent Awards:<br><br></strong><ul><li>We are honoured to be recognized as a 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 Best Workplaces in Canada by Great Place to Work® Canada</li><li>Great Place to Work® list for Best Workplaces for #HybridWork 2022</li><li>Great Place to Work® list for Best Workplaces for Professional Development in Canada 2022</li><li>Named “Best Places to Work” by Glassdoor, 2021 and 2023<br><br></li></ul>The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.
