Cook – Hunters Hut Restaurant

Hunters Hut Restaurant is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we are looking for someone who can work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items according to restaurant standards.
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes, and food presentation guidelines.
  • Prepare ingredients, sauces, vegetables, meats, and other food items as required.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage.
  • Work efficiently during busy periods and handle multiple orders at the same time.
  • Communicate and work effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Assist with inventory, food preparation, and general kitchen duties when required.
  • Minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control.

Requirements:

  • Previous restaurant cooking experience is preferred.
  • Experience preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy kitchen environment.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
  • Food Handler Certificate is required.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, is an asset.
