The Alo Food Group is hiring a Line Cook for Alobar Yorkville. Rooted in fine dining, Alobar focuses on quality ingredients, great execution, and all around hospitality. We are looking for talented cooks to join the team. We are proud to continually create opportunities for our staff with ongoing training and skill development.

Strong applicants will be able to adapt to changing menus and products. They need to be able to work independently and have a desire for excellence. They should also be able to manage their own time and be confident in their ability to write prep lists and order products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Communicates the restaurant's vision to all team members and leads by example.
  • Consistently monitors kitchen operations and cleanliness
  • Builds and maintains relationships with team members and front of house management alike
  • Follows proper ordering, inventory and receiving procedures
  • Shows leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and cooking
  • Demonstrates high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote the restaurant
  • Uses conflict/resolution and problem solving skills
  • Other duties as assigned
