Learning & Development Administration (Compliance) Officer OVERVIEW: KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Client’s Learning & Development function is expanding operations at JESS to support the Administration/Compliance process area. Team members within the delivery center work with Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support Client’s back office operations. JOB SUMMARY: The L&D Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Governance resources are responsible for assisting the CPE Governance team with duties such as, but not limited to; performing weekly control reporting, completing multiple reports to assist with the Client’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Continuing Education sponsorship, and performing monthly compliance audits to ensure the quality and accuracy of courses and classes processed for CPE credit in accordance with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s (NASBA) CPE standards and the Client’s policies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Delivery Conduct CPE compliance audits on KPMG sponsored courses and classes that award CPE credit. ​Review the course information and documentation for compliance with NASBA’s CPE standards and the Client’s policies. ​Validate the accuracy of CPE credit issued in the Learning Management System (LMS). ​Track and report findings to be used for updating processes and controls to eliminate future issues and inconsistencies. ​Conduct CPE compliance audits on external learning (ECPE) requests processed for KPMG professionals. ​Review the documentation for compliance with the Client’s policies. ​Validate the accuracy of credit issued in the LMS. ​Track and report findings to be used for updating processes and controls to eliminate future issues and inconsistencies. ​Assist with updates and enhancements to the SOP documentation for conducting compliance audits and identify any gaps that need to be addressed. ​Support the Client’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) continuing education sponsorship process. ​Generate IRS CE completion reports for multiple populations. The reports need to be properly formatted. ​Research inquiries from Enrolled Agents regarding the status of their completions and reconciliation of credits recorded in the Client’s LMS vs the IRS system. ​Generate the monthly Go-Live report to ensure no completions occur prior to a course being live. ​Perform weekly control reporting. ​Additional support as needed. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience ​Minimum one year of experience in a Professional setting COMPETENCIES: Business Competencies Communication - Delivering clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for understanding others. This includes: Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal peers and other colleagues, in ways that help to deliver the strategy, not just your personal objectives. Technical Competencies/Process area Problem Solving - Identifying problems and using logic, critical thinking, judgment, and data to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions to achieve the desired organizational goal or outcome. Focus is on applying and enhancing knowledge or skill. ​You have applied this competency to situations occasionally while needing minimal guidance to perform successfully. ​You understand and can discuss the application and implications of changes to processes, policies, and procedures in this area. Web-based Technologies - Supporting the development, maintenance and application of web-based systems, services, and technologies (e.g., Internet, intranet, extranet, and website). Understanding and able to discuss the application and implications of technology changes and processes. ​Ability to consider the stakeholder’s needs when recommending appropriate web technologies. ​Able to create workflows, make configurations and system changes in keeping with client criteria. ​Able to design, develop and document logical conditions and workflows. Information Systems Administration - Understanding and demonstrating knowledge of applicable information systems including concepts, principles, and practices related to their use and application. Interpreting and analyzing data extracts and reports from automated databases. ​Maintaining, and regularly monitoring systems as applicable to business areas of responsibility to ensure effective performance. ​Collaborating with the applicable technical points of contact to perform user acceptance testing activities, ensuring system features and functionalities address business needs. SKILLS: Knowledge and use of office productivity tools (MS Office, etc.) ​Ability to learn and use other business information systems Demonstrate a keen eye for detail ​Ability to complete lower complexity tasks accurately and completely with limited direction ​Must be tech savvy ​Experience with business communication is a plus ​Experience with a Learning Management System is a plus SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Our team is using a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home in Jamaica and being in the office.
