StackTeck Systems Ltd. is located 8 km north of Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The position of Junior Estimator/Inside Sales is responsible for generating and processing customer requested quotes on a timely basis, for standard and custom components for the Molds & Automation divisions. The Junior Estimator/Inside Sales will also facilitate all web-based communication, orders and requests. This role reports to the Commercial Manager and is a key role within the department.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER:</strong></p><ul><li>Convenient location with quick 407 and 427 highway access and public transit to our door</li><li>Competitive compensation based on experience, including bonus incentives</li><li>Educational Assistance Program including training, development and post-secondary education with reimbursement.</li><li>Company matching contributions to retirement savings plan (RRSP)</li><li>Comprehensive group benefit plan including medical, dental, life insurance coverage and generous HCSA.</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Takes responsibility for all incoming communication, either by phone, e-mail, fax or web-based, with customers, with respect to spare parts and custom components for the Molds (including PET) & Automation divisions.</li><li>Generates estimates which include price and timing for requested parts. </li><li>Works closely with Sales team in developing quotes that will result in profitable orders for custom and standard component requests.</li><li>Prepares timely estimates of costs of materials, labor, and equipment for manufacturing projects based on 3D models or 2D drawings, and customer specifications.</li><li>Prepare ‘time and material’ quote requests as required.</li><li>Works with Engineering staff, Accounting and Program Managers to confirm that parts requested by customers meets the desired outcome.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, manufacturing, planning, scheduling, supply chain and logistics to identify and resolve manufacturing, costing and shipping issues for standard and custom component orders.</li><li>Spend time with the mold estimators to learn, gather experience and help with complete mold quotes.</li><li>Maintains standard part price list.</li><li>Participate in continuous improvement projects.</li><li>Verify shipments to ensure we are delivering a great customer experience.</li><li>Act as a backup for Program Managers as/when necessary.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p><strong>TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>College diploma or university degree in a technical or engineering-related discipline is preferred; Mechanical Engineering Technology would be considered an asset.</li><li>2+ years of recent experience in inside sales an asset, preferably in the injection molding industry.</li><li>Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)</li><li>Familiar with all manufacturing processes, in a mold manufacturing environment<strong>,</strong> to ensure accurate quoting is performed.</li><li>Ability to clearly communicate technical aspects of mold components to sales and engineering teams as well as customer representatives.</li><li>Exposure to machining practices, process planning and sub-contracting experience for quoting.</li><li>Strong understanding of business concepts; gross margins, currency conversion, job costing.</li><li>Intermediate level competency with MS Excel </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>COMPETENCIES</strong></p><ul><li>Effective communication skills with a customer focused attitude.</li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude with an attention to detail.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The expected salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. </strong>Individual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, job-related factors, and shift worked.</p><p><br></p><p>In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, (AODA), StackTeck will provide accommodation, accessible formats, and communication supports for the recruitment process upon request.</p><p><br></p><p>This posting is for an active vacancy within our organization.</p><p><br></p><p>In compliance with Ontario legislation, StackTeck discloses that we use AI-assisted note-taking tools during interviews for documentation purposes only.
