FCs throughout the U.S. handle millions of items from tens of thousands of vendors and ship them across the globe each day. The successful IT Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for providing assistance to the operations team by maintaining IT inventory, coordinating ordering, delivery, and audits of assets assigned to the IT department, and maintaining general standardized housekeeping of all IT areas. Amazon seeks individuals who are willing to work hard, have fun, and join us in making worldwide history.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br>Candidate must have a solid understanding of computers and computer related equipment (i.e. printers, scanners, storage devices, monitors, etc.). Must be willing to perform cable management, inventory, and equipment audits routinely.<br><br>Responsibilities include allocation and maintenance of IT equipment throughout the Fulfillment Center. IT Equipment Coordinators are also responsible for the RMA and repair process for all devices under warranty. The IT Equipment Coordinator is a member of the larger IT team within the FC and will specifically support the Technicians and Engineers in daily projects and activities as directed. This position reports directly to the IT manager for the fulfillment center.<br><br><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> 2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience, or experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers</li><li> Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts</li><li> Experience managing inventory in warehousing, retail or distribution setting</li><li> Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair</li><li> Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li> Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach</li><li> Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays</li><li> Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> High school diploma, or equivalent</li><li> Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li> Experience prioritizing and managing time effectively in dynamic environments</li><li> Can manage a high volume of requests and competing deadlines</li><li> Experience troubleshooting and maintaining laser printers and zebra printers</li><li> Highly self-motivated and customer-centric<br><br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
