Instructional Designer – Learning & Content Development
About the role The Instructional Designer will create, curate, and manage learning content across multiple platforms, ensuring it is accurate, engaging, and aligned with Amazon’s goals and brand voice. This role combines content strategy, instructional design, and visual design to deliver effective learning experiences for employees. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain a content strategy that supports organizational objectives. Create high‑quality e‑learning modules, job aids, training manuals, and other instructional materials. Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models such as ADDIE and SAM to design engaging experiences. Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and stakeholders to gather information and validate content. Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across channels. Required profile Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Experience with Learning Management Systems or classroom training. Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Perl). Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
