<p><strong>Job Title: </strong>Hyper-V & Nutanix Infrastructure Specialist</p><p><strong>Job Type</strong>: 1-month Contract</p><p><strong>Location</strong>: 100% remote (must be legally entitled to work in Canada)</p><p><strong>Start Date: </strong>August 10, 2026</p><p><strong>Hours per week</strong>: 40 hours per week</p><p><strong>Shift Schedule</strong>: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM</p><p><strong>Rate</strong>: $85/hr Inc.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>Hyper-V & Nutanix Infrastructure Specialist</strong> to design, build, validate, and support enterprise virtualization platforms in a production environment. This role will focus on building and optimizing Microsoft Hyper-V and Nutanix infrastructure while supporting the migration of Windows virtual machine workloads from an existing VMware environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior infrastructure professional with deep hands-on virtualization expertise who enjoys designing scalable platforms, validating production readiness, and contributing to modernization initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, build, configure, and support enterprise Hyper-V and Nutanix virtualization environments.</li><li>Deploy and validate infrastructure components required to support Windows virtual machines at production scale.</li><li>Configure and test virtualization services, platform integrations, networking, storage, clustering, and operational monitoring.</li><li>Plan and execute platform validation, operational readiness testing, and production acceptance activities.</li><li>Support business continuity initiatives by validating backup, recovery, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities.</li><li>Assess, plan, and support migration activities from VMware to Hyper-V and/or Nutanix environments.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, configurations, migration plans, validation results, and operational procedures.</li><li>Identify platform risks, dependencies, and recommendations while collaborating with project stakeholders throughout implementation.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive hands-on experience administering and supporting <strong>Microsoft Hyper-V</strong> in enterprise production environments.</li><li>Extensive hands-on experience administering and supporting Nutanix virtualization platforms.</li><li>Experience designing, building, and supporting Windows virtual machine environments at enterprise scale.</li><li>Strong understanding of virtualization infrastructure, including: Compute, Storage, Networking, Clustering, High Availability, Lifecycle Management, and Infrastructure Monitoring</li><li>Experience validating infrastructure services, integrations, resiliency, and production readiness.</li><li>Experience supporting VMware migration projects, including planning, dependency analysis, and execution.</li><li>Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical decisions, risks, and implementation plans.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience leading virtualization modernization or data centre transformation initiatives.</li><li>Background supporting hypervisor migration projects from VMware to alternative virtualization platforms.</li><li>Experience with business continuity, disaster recovery, and production readiness testing.</li><li>Familiarity with infrastructure automation, repeatable deployment methodologies, and infrastructure standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
