Our Ideal Candidate
- Is an experienced welder, ideally with experience repairing containers or structures, and is committed to the quality of the work performed
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and respectfully

- Works efficiently and independently while collaborating well with the team
- Is comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Has a positive attitude, is versatile, and can manage multiple repair requests according to operational priorities
- Is able to follow instructions, work procedures, and safety standards with minimal supervision
- Possesses strong technical problem-solving skills related to repairs of metal structures and transportation equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform welding, repair, and reinforcement work on shipping and intermodal containers
- Repair container structures, including frames, floors, walls, doors, container corners, and other damaged components
- Prepare surfaces prior to welding, including cleaning, grinding, cutting, and adjusting parts
- Identify damage, assess necessary repairs, and perform the work in accordance with established quality standards
- Perform MIG welding as required for repairs, primarily on steel, with occasional work on aluminum depending on operational needs
- Install, adjust, or replace certain metal components of containers as needed
- Inspect the quality of welds and repairs to ensure the strength and compliance of the work
- Properly use the tools, welding equipment, and devices required for repair work
- Comply with occupational health and safety procedures as well as operational requirements related to container terminal activities
- Be available to work overtime as needed to meet operational requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in welding and assembly or any other relevant training in metallurgy, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- 2 to 3 years of experience in industrial welding, ideally in the repair of metal structures, containers, or heavy equipment—considered an asset
- Good knowledge of welding processes and metallic materials (steel, alloys, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and solve technical problems related to the repair and maintenance of metal structures
- Good understanding of industrial health and safety standards
- Valid driver's license
