HR Business Partner - Philippines

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time. The Opportunity Netflix is hiring an HR Business Partner to partner with our teams in the Philippines, which support Finance & Operations, Customer Service, Talent and Employee Services, and NTech. You will be a strategic thought partner to business leaders as the Philippines org scales. That means helping them with organization design, driving high talent density, and nurturing our culture. You will balance global programs with local realities and be selective about where bespoke solutions are warranted. Responsibilities • Business Acumen: Has deep working knowledge of the teams they support; asks critical and informed questions to understand business priorities and understands the levers that drive performance. • Judgment and Decision Making: Addresses a range of talent topics autonomously; uses data and judgment to identify business-driven solutions and recognizes when to escalate for input/feedback with a proposed path, not just a problem. • Coaching and Influencing: Establishes trusted relationships with leaders, pressure-tests performance against challenges, and holds/pushes the bar for talent density; helps leaders prepare for conversations and knows when to escalate as needed. Is expected to surface the uncomfortable questions that impact the talent and people decisions for a team. • Org design and change management: Looks past org charts to consider how work actually flows, how roles are defined, and how teams work across each other and are incentivized to deliver business outcomes. Helps ensure changes actually land with deliberate change management. Leverages Netflix Org Design resources. • Netflix Culture and Inclusion: Has deep fluency in Netflix culture; applies culture to day-to-day work and escalates with a proposed plan when behaviors or trends feel misaligned. • One Talent Team Mindset: Executes Talent programs in partnership with GBPs; is familiar with the operating model and provides context to partners regularly. • Employee relations and labor standards: Resolve complex ER issues by addressing root causes. Partner with Legal and Employee Services on guidance and compliance under Philippine labor law. Qualifications • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HRBP experience in complex, matrixed, global organizations • Strong influence and coaching skills • Proven judgment in situations without a clear policy or formal process • Strong understanding of, and hands-on experience with, Philippine labor law and ER practices • Proven track record of proactively identifying opportunities and leading initiatives and transformations, from idea through execution • Experience supporting client groups and leaders across multiple locations in a matrixed environment • Background in org design • Experience in a global shared services organization is a plus Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
