Role Description

Join our team as an Independent Contractor for Project Lupin. Project Lupin aims to help improve AI-powered speech recognition models. In this project, participants contribute by checking and modifying the audio segmentation and transcription. The transcriptions generated will contribute to the development of improved AI-powered speech recognition models.

Task Summary

  • Listen to real audio recordings and produce precise, verbatim transcripts — capturing not just what was said, but how it was said.
  • Verbatim transcription with a target of 98%+ accuracy.
  • Timestamping segments with less than 500ms deviation.
  • Speaker labeling for conversations with 2 to 8 participants.
  • Event annotation for non-speech elements (e.g., laughter, background noise, unintelligible audio).

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in Portuguese including familiarity with regional accents and informal speech.
  • Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.
  • Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is an advantage.
  • Comfortable using browser-based tools (training will be provided).
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Access to a laptop or desktop computer (mobile devices are not supported).
  • Reliable availability for minimum 10+ hours per week.

Compensation

Payments for the project will be made based on the number of audio hours that you transcribe.

  • Earn $35.00 per audio hour – the more you work, the more you make!
  • Complete 1 audio hour of transcription for every 5 hours you work – making the most of your time.
  • Work a minimum of 10 hours a week – perfect for a flexible earning option.

Potential Weekly Earnings Breakdown:

  • $35.00 per audio hour.
  • 0.2 audio hours/hour × 10 hours/week = 2.0 audio hours/week.
  • 2.0 audio hours × $35.00 = $70.00/week.

💡 Earn $70. weekly with minimum 10 hours of work. More hours = higher earnings.
