About The Role

Draganfly Innovations is seeking a Field Application Specialist (FAS) with a focus on Public Safety Operations. While this role is remote, regional proximity supports in‑person client engagements, field operations, and industry events.

The Field Application Specialist (FAS) – Public Safety serves as a trusted technical ambassador for Draganfly’s UAS platforms. This role bridges sales, product experience, and end-users by delivering expert flight demonstrations, customer training, and technical event support. You will work directly with public safety agencies, partners, and internal teams to ensure customers experience Draganfly solutions at their highest potential—from first demo through early adoption and operational readiness.

This is a remote role that requires 50–70% travel across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead in-person and virtual UAS product demonstrations for public safety customers, partners, and strategic accounts
  • Serve as the field-based subject matter expert for Draganfly platforms, applications, and use cases
  • Execute and continuously improve demo playbooks aligned with customer mission requirements
  • Maintain and configure demo systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance
  • Deliver hands-on and virtual customer training post-delivery to support rapid adoption
  • Support the development and updating of training materials, quick-start guides, and e-learning resources
  • Conduct partner and reseller training to expand demo and training capabilities
  • Perform compliant flight operations for demonstrations, testing, and special projects
  • Represent Draganfly at trade shows, industry days, and customer events; operate live demos and presentations
  • Support event logistics including equipment shipping, setup, teardown, and technical preparation
  • Collaborate with Sales during technical discovery and qualification phases
  • Provide technical input for proposals, presentations, and bid responses
  • Capture and share customer feedback, feature requests, and recurring technical issues
  • Assist with customer onboarding milestones to ensure independent system operation
  • Deliver internal product and demo training for sales, marketing, and partner teams

Qualifications:

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required)
  • 4+ years in UAS operations or product application roles
  • Experience conducting customer-facing demos or training
  • Strong troubleshooting and mission‑planning experience
  • Proficiency with market‑relevant payloads
  • Comfortable travelling 50–70%
  • Familiarity with MAVLink-based UAS (asset)
  • Proficient with Teams, SharePoint, and CRM tools (HubSpot)

Preferred Specializations

  • Public Safety: DFR, SAR, tactical indoor operations, accident reconstruction
  • Commercial: Inspections, LiDAR/surveying, photogrammetry, critical logistics

Compensation package:

  • Competitive salary: $72,000 - $95,000
