As a key member of our data analysis and business intelligence division, you will play a crucial role in supporting the creation and maintenance of reports, providing departmental insights on performance, and building data models to solve various quantitative projects. This is a remote-based opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home in the USA, and collaborate with our technology team to meet business needs and data warehouse services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating new, modifying existing, and implementing ad-hoc reporting to support business processes and data-driven decision making. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements, maintain complete documentation, and obtain service sign-offs for all reporting requirements. Your expertise in data analysis, reporting, and data visualization will be essential in driving business growth and informing strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and implement reports to support business processes and data-driven decision making Create and maintain dashboards on Power BI and Excel to provide insights and trends Establish and enforce Data Quality standards and controls to ensure data integrity and access Design, develop, and maintain new report pipelines from source systems to the Data Warehouse Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements, maintain complete documentation, and obtain service sign-offs for all reporting requirements Develop, maintain, and refine scalable reporting pipelines and data models Apply data storytelling principles to create clear and impactful data visualizations using Power BI Aid in automating existing business processes and enhancing exception-based reporting Work with IT and Business Analysts to investigate, research, and acquire new data variables (data exploration) Analyze large datasets to identify meaningful patterns that provide actionable insights Validate data for accuracy by verifying against standards Investigate data errors and remediate poor data quality Participate in the Data Governance program by updating the data dictionary and policies & procedures Analyze and validate metrics to ensure effectiveness and provide feedback to department leaders on trends that require attention Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 2+ years of experience in in-depth data analysis and reporting Solid experience working with Power BI, including creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex SQL queries to generate reports and analytics Experience with ETL tools, including SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations Solid data modeling experience using star schema or other methodologies Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify meaningful patterns Experience with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query Familiarity with Smartsheets and other project management tools Strong work ethic, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a remote environment, with a proven ability to collaborate with distributed teams Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles Experience with data storytelling and visualization techniques Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify meaningful patterns Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
