Our Philosophy: We believe learning English is about more than learning a language. English is a universal language that can help children communicate, explore different cultures, and better understand the world beyond their immediate environment. Through meaningful conversations with tutors in Canada, we hope to give students opportunities to build confidence in speaking English, broaden their perspectives, and connect with the world.

Position Details

  • Class format: One-to-one online lessons and/or small group lessons
  • Class length: 25 – 30 minutes
  • Location: Remote - Canada
  • Schedule: Flexible; tutors choose their available hours; peak time: 8- 11 AM in Atlantic Time Zone (AST), 7-10 AM in Eastern Time Zone (EDT)
  • Curriculum: Teaching materials and guidance provided
  • Students: Primarily children and teenagers learning English as a second language
Responsibilities
  • Conduct active and engaging online English lessons
  • Help students improve speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, and listening
  • Adapt lessons to students' levels and interests
  • Provide encouragement and constructive feedback
  • Maintain a positive and professional learning environment
Qualifications
  • Native to Fluent English communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or bachelor’s degree in progress as an asset
  • Previous tutoring, teaching or mentoring is an asset
  • Reliable, patient, and comfortable working with young learners
  • Criminal record check/child abuse registry check required
