Position Summary Vecima is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Technologist to participate in the development of next-generation telecommunication and networking products. The successful candidate will join an industry-leading team of technology leaders with a passion for quality networks to maximize business value and will contribute to the development of next generation products used by some of the world’s largest Cable operators. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Develop, execute, and document Design Verification Test (DVT) plans for DOCSIS cable nodes and video delivery products</li><li>Perform measurements and tests across multiple disciplines, such as RF performance (MER, Power, Return Loss, Isolation), Power (Efficiency, Integrity, Protection) and environmental conditions (Temperature, Humidity, Vibration, ESD)</li><li>Set up and operate lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies/loads, and environmental chambers</li><li>Analyze data and provide high quality test reports to stakeholders</li><li>Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of design issues </li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field </li><li>5+ years of experience in hardware testing or validation </li><li>Strong understanding of RF measurement techniques, AC/DC power systems, environmental stressors and reliability test principles </li><li>Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation, test setups, and product configuration via CLI/HTML interfaces </li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>standards, QAM/OFDM, broadband networks, and digital video encoding/transport is considered an asset </li></ul>This incumbent will work from our Saskatoon, SK office.
